Records That Don't Do Much But Are Still Amazing Part 1

Omar S is yet another house/techno talent to burst out of underground Detroit. Similar in style and attitude to Theo Parrish his music is rough, raw and 100% independent. He releases and distributes his music from his basement studio on his own label FXHE. His earlier releases all came with hand written labels until it started taking up too much of his time.

Omar S - Oasis 1

Oasis 1 was released in 2004 and originally past me by. On listening to it you will understand why. Little more than a raw beat with spooky synths and what sounds like people bashing sheet metal over the top. Thats all, but given time it really gets into your head. Good shit.
The track was taken from the latest Fabric mix Omar S - Detroit, a mix of his productions and great introduction to the man. More info here
