Glass Candy

I recently watched a film about Britain's most violent prisoner Charles Bronson. Definitely worth checking folks.
One piece of music that runs through the movie is this by Glass Candy, Digital Versicolor. It really suits the dark & seedy feel of the film and seems to have lodged itself in my brain.
Its taken from the fantastic lp B/E/A/T/B/O/X on the Italians Do It Better label.
Here's a couple of other tracks but i strongly recommend a purchase as the whole record is great. Buy it here. Myspace

September Sun

Looks like we're getting the last bit of English sun this weekend. Might get the BBQ out, crack a Red Stripe and pump a few of these. Now let's put on some classics and have a little dance shall we?

Under The Weather

I'm feeling a bit shite today. I'm also feeling a bit underwhelmed by the new Cribs record. I've only had 4 or so listens but the songs don't seem as strong as before.
Due to this (and the fact i ain't leaving the sofa today) i'm working my way through the Cribs live at the Brudenell Social Club dvd. Basically its them playing every album and b-sides over 3 nights. Well worth yer hard earned.
I'm really looking forward to seeing them live again in December though. Here's some footage from the last time i saw them back in January.

Your Twenties - Caught Wheel

This song is probably old news to everyone but me. Not anymore thanks to my bro at Wheels On Toast. This is a sunny pop single that rivals Phoenix in its super quality. Check ere then buy ere. I've got mine and it was worth every penny.

Smith Westerns - Be My Girl

This is f***ing great pop music. Youthful, urgent & ramshackle.

Atlas Sound - Walkabout (Feat. Panda Bear)

Atlas Sound is a solo project by Brandon Cox (a man desperately in need of a meal), the lead singer of Atlanta 4-piece Deerhunter. Panda Bear (shit name) is also a solo artist + one quarter of Animal Collective. Confusing?!? Anyway together they have made this and i likey

Crocodiles - I Wanna Kill

Good single, great sleeve. Sounding like post Bobby Gillespie era JAMC. Taster ere then buy ere.
